SCHÖNER WOHNEN Switzerland – vol. 8/2023

We have put together a new volume of SCHÖNER WOHNEN Switzerland for our client Gruner & Jahr. And the spotlight is on the canton of Graubünden. We travelled along the Rhine, first by train, then by Postbus, to get the lay of the land.

First, we meet the artist Yvonne Rogenmoser, who talks about her ‘Safientaler Tafelrunde’ project (EN: ‘Safiental Round Table’). Then, just a few kilometers away, in the mountain village of Vals, we hear from the news coordinator Manuela Peng Job and the architect and designer Charles O. Job, who renovated their home with the architect Reidun Grand. 

Renovation stories are more than just inspiration. They are also a great source of knowledge and, in the best-case scenario, encourage people to embark on the adventure of building themselves. Charles Job and Reidun Grand are architects with years of experience between them. And yet sometimes things ended up going quite differently than even they would have thought...
